Denver Post features Philharmonic musicians
2012 October 10
Members of the Colorado Springs/Pueblo based Veronika String Quartet were mentioned in a Denver Post article featuring five of Colorado’s leading musical ensembles. Congratulations to Philharmonic string players Karine Garibova and Ekaterina Dobrotvorskaia and the other members of the Quartet.

I HAVE HEARD AND SEEN THE DENVER SYMPHONY ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS. THE ORCHESTRA IS SMALLER AND YOUNGER THEN THE COLORADO SPRINGS PHILHARMONIC; AS IF THE DENVER ORCHESTRA MEMBERS ARE USING THEIR POSITIONS IN DENVER TO “MOVE-UP” IN THE INDUSTRY. THE COLORADO SPRINGS ORCHESTRA IS MORE MATURE, STABLE IN ITS MEMBERSHIP, APPEAR TO SMILE MORE AND BE HAPPY. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THEY PRODUCE A MUCH BETTER SOUND, AND ARE IN THE SAME LEAGUE WITH THE NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC OR THE DALLAS OR PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRAS. WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE SUCH A QUALITY ORCHESTRA HERE. PERHAPS THE DENVER POST SHOULD BE INVITED TO TAKE A TRIP SOUTH TO LISTEN!
Mr. Miller: Thank you for your kind words. We appreciate your enthusiasm and hope you continue to get much joy from our musicians and concerts.
