The Led Zeppelin concert last night should have been a separate concert and not included in the Pops series. We were two of the many who left during the intermission. We also noticed there were several that left before that. Also, the music was so loud that we couldn’t understand the words of the soloist. We overheard a comment on the street as we leaving, that a fellow said he had a stroke recently and didn’t want to experience another one. He felt that another hour could have been enough stress to do that.
We are looking forward to the rest of the Pops series, however, if we have to experience another concert like last nights, we will probably discontinue the series. Hope we don’t have to do that. Up until now we have really enjoyed the concerts.

Thanks for your comment. We appreciate the feedback, and I’ll make sure we pass it along to the folks who program our seasons. Thanks for your willingness to let us know, and we look forward to having you back for the rest of the season, which, as you know, will be a bit tamer.
The Led Zeppelin Rock Symphony was a fantastic concert for Led Zeppelin fans, and the children who accompanied them! The music was remarkably true to the original, while being creative and fresh. Many Led Zeppelin songs have an orchestral component to begin with, and lead singer Randy Jackson must have been channeling his Robert Plant voice since he was a kid, as he was almost a dead ringer! I agree that the concert should have been separate– I cringed a bit for those in the audience for whom the concert was loud and foreign. That having been said, the concert was sold out and, if the season ticket-holders who weren’t interested hadn’t attended, more Led Zeppelin fans could have had seats. After the concert I asked the woman next to me who was largely unfamiliar with Led Zeppelin, if she enjoyed it. “Yes, but not as much as you did,” she answered. Good for her and others with an open mind!
